Alignment work for shafting and rudder system was successfully finished for the first carrier of PULNG, leaving more time for following shafting boring work.Featuring high accuracy control requirement for shafting and rudder system, the LNG carrier is equipped with two Becker rudders; no allowance was set for rudder system boring. Staff from Accuracy Management Department worked overtime during Spring Festival holidays, monitored shafting and rudder every 4 hours, and adjusted welding sequence in a timely manner. Finally, the system was delivered to the shipowner with all parameters meeting the requirement, creating a detailed database for LNG carrier construction of this company.
